Kay Hanifen
Kay Hanifen was born on a Friday the 13th and once lived for three months in a haunted castle. So, obviously, she had to become a horror writer. Her work has appeared in over a hundred and fifty anthologies and magazines. When she’s not consuming pop culture with the voraciousness of a vampire at a 24-hour blood bank, you can usually find her with her black cats here or on Instagram @katharinehanifen.

Michael Thompson Books
Michael Thompson’s indie author journey began at age thirteen with the publication of his action-packed Chicken Boy series. Since then, he has spoken on countless panels, podcasts, and programs to both readers and aspiring authors alike, his poetry was recognized in the Writers’ Digest Writing Competition, and his books are bestsellers in independent bookstores across the country.
Acclaimed internationally in the Feathered Quill Book Awards and Readers’ Favorite, his novels include the alternate world / sword-and-sorcery epic fantasy World of the Orb, as well as the cryptozoology-inspired nautical adventures in the Winslow Hoffner Series, a saga which blends his trademark humor and dynamic character ensembles with his longtime fascination with cryptids, folklore, and legends of the deep.
With his most recent releases, Michael returns to the Chicken Boy Series with all-new, fully re-illustrated anniversary editions. For twenty years, Chicken Boy has kept middle-grade readers and their families laughing out loud, and the anniversary editions not only celebrate the original tales of friendship and heroism that started it all, but signal the beginning of many more exciting adventures in store for the greatest superhero to ever be hatched!
From writing and illustrating, to voice acting and filmmaking, Michael's storytelling manifests in multiple mediums while sharing the theme of plunging ordinary characters into extraordinary situations, with emphases on adventure, humor, and heart.
